Among the Igbos of southeastern part of Nigeria in West Africa, palm wine is an essential part of her culture & traditions especially during local occasions like coronations, naming ceremonies, marriages etc. In recent years, this is almost becoming obsolete as most churches sees the use of palm wine in such occasions as sinful and idol worshipping thus not allowing their members to partake in palm wine occasions.
