POULTRY DISEASES 1

NEWCASTLE DISEASE IN POULTRY. Our know-how of  issues on Poultry helps  us in getting a better result if we implement them in our Poultry management. We are  talking about Newcastle Disease in Poultry which is a viral infection of domestic birds, ornamental and wild birds. It also affect birds of all ages, it is not age sensitive. Birds are usually infected through contact with respiratory droplets from infected  birds or through ingestion of feed or water contaminated with feacal  materials of infected birds. Local chickens are  carriers of the infection so never tolerate local chickens near your poultry. Signs usually seen include acute respiratory problems like coughing,  sneezing, rales etc, nervous manifestations like torticolis I.e twisted neck, paralysis of wings and legs etc, diarrhoea, misshapened eggs, small sizes,  bleached eggs, increase in cracks, at times egg production ceases outrightly and mortality. Severity of disease depends on the type of virus involved, su
